My first visit with Dr Lacoste

Dr. Eric Lacoste and his team will welcome you for an initial assessment of your condition. Your teeth, gums and soft tissues will be examined. Then, by means of a small instrument (probe), we measure the depth of the periodontal pockets. This measure will be used to determine the severity of your condition and to establish the correct treatment.

Digital radiographs could be taken if necessary. If recent radiographs (6 months or less) have been taken by your dentist, it would be beneficial to bring them with you to your first visit. Panoramic radiography, also known a PANOREX a PAN, should also be taken if you have taken one less than a year ago.

They will then take the necessary amount of time with you to explain your condition, its causes and, of course, the treatments offered. At the end of your appointment, you will have an estimate of your treatment plan in hand.

Duration of consultation
60 to 90 minutes. You will be asked to present yourself 15 minutes in advance to complete the medical questionnaire.
